Azeroth Arbor Day Outtakes
Keeva is still working over at Tree Bark Jacket to get all of the submissions up of screenshots for Azeroth Arbor Day. I sent one over, and hope many of you did as well. There were many “outtakes,” screenshots that I got with my guild that didn’t make the cut, as it were. However, I told my guildies that I would get them up so that they could see them, so you all get to see them too! (click on any of these to see a full sized version!)
So, you may recall that the idea for Azeroth Arbor Day was to send in screenshots to Keeva that celebrated tree form. The second I heard this, I got an idea. Like the Grinch, I got a wonderful, awful idea!
My idea was not to put myself in some sort of a natural atmosphere that celebrated tree form. No, indeed. I thought it would be much better to get a screenshot of other classes in Azeroth actually paying homage to the utter uber awesomeness that is our leafy, barky selves. Therefore, I asked my guildies to help me out. We found a pedestal in Naxx for me to stand on. I ate a great feast, while all of my raid mates ate small feast so that I was a huge giant and they were little peons. And then… they all kneeled around me and I started getting screenshots. Mwahahahahahaaaa! It was really so silly and fun to do, and I thank them all for humoring my inner sinister character by playing along.
The screenies started out very serious and solemn…
and then someone suggested that they begin to dance around me…
and then we decided to light it up with AOEs and other spell effects and things got downright bacchanalian!
In the end it was just so much fun staging these screenshots! I have to thank my guildies once again for their humility in the face of my hubris and for their undauntable sense of fun. You all are the best, foshizzle!
p.s. I also tried to get a serious screenshot for Keeva that really actually was a depiction of my own interior image of what it meant to honor our tree form. But I forgot to send it to her in time. /facepalm! Here is that screenshot, as well. It’s almost the absolute flip side of my silly guild pictures. The essence of tree form, for me, is best expressed as being one with the natural world. See if you can spot me here…

For my pictures, I actually staged a quick screenshot where I summoned my treants in moonkin spec, changed back to resto spec, and shifted into tree form before my treants ran out. No new leaf colors? No problem! I summoned my own variety!

I failed and didn’t send in a submission by the deadline. My game time was eaten up by dailies and raiding!

haha!!! a raid vs a tree boss… how epic is that??? Maybe we’ll see it if they actually do incorporate The Emerald Dream into one of the coming expansions…
Me tonight: “Yeah, but that wipe wasn’t near as bad as the wipe on that tree boss. We never did down that huge tree.”
Rest of raid not named Syll: “Huh?”
