Fashion Faux Paws
Have you seen the new Alliance Druid T9? The full set is now available for your perusal. I find it a bit… odd. /snicker. Click on the image below to see the armor in its full glory (you can then click on the image once more to fully magnify it).
p.s. I hear they’re renaming the head piece. The two options under consideration are Cap of Condom Awesome and Cowl of the Filigreed Beak.

Wow, that picture actually took me aback (did I use that right?). While it IS hideous, I’m a bit happy that those lazy ass designers aren’t just re-coloring the same skin. I still think they could do something quite a bit more imaginative for a Tier piece. Like those wings on the Warlock T6(?) or uhh…other good stuff. The only thing that makes this T8 druid-y is the beak…and that’s pushing it. Otherwise it’s just a colorful robe and shoulders with those ever-present shoulder search lights. Show me a headpiece that’s something other than a hood, helmet or floating halo.
lol hummy, what’s even more delicious is that this isn’t just the druid set. They designed a plate set for each faction, a mail set, a leather set, and a cloth set. So rogues get the beak, too. Theirs is just another color.
Well, at least it isn’t all drab boring brown. I know we shapeshift more often than be in night elf form, but still … com’on Blizz … couldn’t you design a druid gear set that we wouldn’t mind being seen in?? A female version of boomkin & tree form would be nice, too.
There have been few helms that I liked enough to display.
T4 antlers, I miss them so.
T6 eagle head looked quite pretty on my Tauren.
T8 looks quite pretty.
T5 looked ridiculous. T7 Dreamwalker is nice.. but looks odd on Taurens and I would prefer to show my face.
This set, if I ever get it, will definitely have me showing my face and not the helm!

I’d look bad ass in that set! But I would like to dye my own gear. I’m getting tired of looking like one of the Bobsie Twins.

This is hilarious! All the teir sets look very similar this time around, but this one seems particularly bad. Those pouches on the arms! Maybe if you could actually put stuff in there, it would be worthwhile.

That makes me laugh so much, but then I look a the Horde leather set and it doesn’t look druidy in the least. At least the alliance set tried.
I agree with Keeva about the previous druid helms. I’m loving the T8 moon on my head, and I loved my T4 antlers, but I didn’t like T7 at all.

I think I just died and went to heaven….
Damn that thing is fugly. Does it even have a theme, a guiding style, anything that doesn’t say “randomly slapped together”? And tacking Malfurion’s name on that set is just an insult to the father of all druids!
Most of the druid sets were good or great till now (though I don’t see anything druidic about the T8.25 colors). This, I really don’t want to wear.
